A small black-and-white video monitor is embedded in a common plastic gasoline can. The 15-minute video loop depicts various attempts to create a fire ranging from using a lighter, a book of matches and even rubbing two sticks against one another. This work expresses themes of desire, powerlessness through repetitive bodily action and humor.
